Just a quick note this week--it's July 4th and I'm working at home, but I think I'll knock off a little early. There's too much to do to shift into fully relaxed summer mode, but summer vibes are in the air, aren't they? Even my very stubborn peonies might actually bloom soon!
I always think that our choice of craft is so fortunate this time of year--it's easy to take a small project on a road trip or a camping adventure or a baseball game, and with a little advance thought, we can be ready for holiday decorating and gift-giving in a few months.
Current open hours are Monday - Thursday, 7am-3:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 5pm and Saturdays, 9am-4pm.
In-store shopping: masks are optional (but welcome and appreciated). Thanks for your help in keeping my business open to the public!

There's still plenty of time to get in on this action!
Our quarterly refresh of Smooshy Cashmere from Dream in Color arrived, and they knocked it out of the park with a palette that vibrates with summer fun!
Hear me out...how about a summer tank to wear by itself now, and enjoy as a cozy layer when the weather cools? Alicia Plummer's Sunset Tank is knit (and could be a sweet way to use some fingering weight leftovers for the subtle color detail), and Courtney Clark's Lyn Tank Top is crocheted. Smooshy Cashmere would be the ultimate next-to-skin layer--it's just so soft.
Welcome to your annual reminder that if you are wanting to make some heirloom Christmas stockings, July (or summer, at any rate) is the time to do it! Whether you're thinking of personalized stockings with fair isle or intarsia colorwork, or something with an elegant modern vibe, you can find pattern options in this Ravelry bundle.
Most of this week's stitching energy went into the Lazy Hazy Summer Cotton variation on Andrea Mowry's The Shift. I'm really enjoying knitting with it, and I think these soft tweedy pastels were made for this pattern!
