One of the things that made our trunk show with Kim so inspiring was the beautiful samples she sent with the yarn.
This is Bloom Your Heart Out, by Inese Sang, a fingering weight shawl using two skeins of a main color, and one each of two contrasting colors.
The Orchard Village Shawl is an elongated triangle with tassels in two colors--one skein each.
The Botanika Shawl is a design by Elena Fedotova using three skeins of fingering, and it's crocheted.
Floral Notes is a triangular shawl by Samantha Guerin, and in a wool/silk blend, it has a comforting density. I was referring to it as a wearable weighted blanket...
Ruukkutarha is a pullover with a lively botanical motif.
The Luminos Tee contrasts two colors of fingering with chevrons.
I assembled all of these links onto a single PDF, if you would like to save them for future reference! You can find that here.
It's rarely the case that I knit on all of the (excessive) number of projects I take on a trip, but on my trip to Nebraska, I worked on the Mastiha cardigan*, the Musselburgh hat you saw last week, and I started a gift sock (improvised basic sock with a modified bamboo ribbing). That was 75% of the projects I took--not bad!
*Possible deduction of points, as I discovered that I'd skipped rows of the chart when knitting the right front of Mastiha. Fortunately, it's not much knitting to rip out and fix...
