I do love a good stripey project. A quick meander through my Ravelry project pages will confirm...
Well, you get the idea. I could go on, and apparently, I'm about to! (See below.) Combining colors--trying out different combinations--is just so much fun.

So then, about those stripes.... I'd almost decided on my next sweater project when Tif Neilan's Stripes of Joy Sweater popped into view. And even though the sweaters I was dreaming on back in this blog post are still all in the queue, something about these stripes...on a unifying background...compelled me to pull almost every color of Berroco Lanas off the shelf to audition combinations. I did settle on one, but I'll be sharing some other contenders this week on Instagram and Facebook.
I finished the Mondim Socks from Andrea Mowry, and immediately wound a skein of Vesper Sock I'd added to my own stash. And once I cast them on, I had to keep knitting. To see the next stripe! These will just be a basic pair--I've cast on 64 stitches, knit 20 rounds of 2x2 ribbing, and then transitioned to 3x1 broken garter rib (round 1--knit all stitches, round 2--K3 P1). I might do a garter stitch short-row heel from Jen Arnall-Culliford, and if I keep knitting this sock at the current pace, I'll need to make this decision sooner, rather than later.
I also cast on for a color-blocked version of Annabella's Cowl in the wonderfully squishy Wool Addicts Honor. While the yarn company name is Wool Addicts, this yarn is actually a brushed suri alpaca blend, combined with Merino wool. And it flies on size 9 needles!
