We're open normal (ish*) hours this week, but next week, we'll be closed for in person shopping from January 6-9, returning Friday, January 10. We always miss you when we close for this break, but we've got lots to do getting ready for another great year of fiber adventures!
The online store will remain open, and all orders will be shipped within 48 hours.
*We are planning to be open 9am - 3:30pm on Wednesday, New Year's Day, based on the current forecast. If the weather goes sideways, that could change!
Bring your current project, and spend some time with others who really vibe on yarn! As we enter cold and flu season, please consider wearing a mask if you're feeling a little "off," or join us just as soon as you're feeling better!
SEE BELOW. Cast on January 11th.

Last week, we stocked up on needles & hooks because of holiday schedules and vendors' inventory plans! We also refreshed our color selection of Edition 3 and Zauberball Crazy.
And then this?
This is the Malabrigo order we put in a few weeks ago! The holidays really slowed this one down, but we are going to be getting it out on the sales floor this morning!
I saw this online, and thought it was an interesting take on a temperature blanket. Of course, you could also alter the parameters to make a knit version, and tweak the color categories to suit your own reading tastes! Or make a reading scarf!
While I haven't taken the yarn out of inventory yet, or wound it, or even swatched, here's what I'm thinking of for my #JanuaryMakealong Bermy sweater (specifically, the Bermy 20). I love every chance I get to wear my Autumn Alpine sweater in Tukuwool Fingering, and I'd love to have a cozy, airy basic out of the Tukuwool DK--with a little bit of tweed added for interest. We'll see if I have time to swatch next week!
I'm very pleased with how the Mastiha cardigan turned out. I ended up using just shy of five skeins of Malabrigo Seis Cabos, and I lengthened both the body and the sleeves a bit.
And then I cast on some stuff.
The Spring Leaf Cardigan - Big Sis in Madelinetosh Woolcycle Sport in Fluororose. I love how vibrant this color is!
And my other cast on isn't everyone's cup of tea but it sure is mine! I'm holding Lopi Fjallalopi (not stocked in the store, but available through Berroco drop ship) with a strand of black mohair to make Irene Lin's Nia Sweater. The gauge on this is 20 sts / 4", so there are so many directions you could go, but I just kept returning to a swatch I'd made with Fjallalopi. It's a new yarn from Lopi this year--in the sport or dk range. Ram is a deep brown, and when you add the strand of black mohair it's everything I want an earthy neutral to be. LOVE. No pictures yet—it’s not very big, and I missed the “good light” for taking photos of a dark piece of knitting!
