Two gorgeous new yarns in the shop this week!

Â
First up is Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton Sport, which we have in 14 fresh and bright colors. It is a 100% organic cotton, sport/dk weight, and the 136 yard / 50g hanks are $10. You can find it here.
Â

Â
We also have two lovely baskets full of Malabrigo Caprino, a luxurious blend of 80% superfine Merino wool and 20% cashmere. Each 50g skein is 159 yards, and it works beautifully at either a sport or dk gauge. It has the most beautiful hand, and, of course colors. Feast your eyes here.
Â

Blue Sky Fibers has a robust collection of patterns written for Organic Cotton Sport, and you can find them here. But I also noticed a couple of tees from independent designers that I thought would work beautifully.

The Riptide Tee from Jennifer Shiels Toland suggests a gauge of 23 sts / 4" on US 5 needles, which is in the sweet spot for Organic Cotton Sport. It strikes that perfect balance between simple elegance and thoughtful details.

The Stornoway Tee combines texture with fun color play in a fun to knit design.

Â
Craving a crochet project? The Whiteshell Tank has a waffled fabric and can be worn on its own or as a layer.Â
We'll look at patterns for Caprino next week!
Â

Â
Prospect Pullover: in Ultra Wool. Sleeve #2 aka Super Bowl Sleeve, is about twenty rows from completion. it would be done if I hadn't gotten distracted and had to back out rows where I wandered away from the pattern stitch so many times!

Kraken Cowl: In Morris. Not a super fast knit, but I love the end result, especially the duplicate stitch red eyes!
Ginny Cardigan:Â Lanas Light held with Aerial mohair for the DK gauge. I finished the second front, and joined the fronts with the back. I've almost completed another row of "blocks," and when I've finished, I'll work the sleeves (which are plain stockinette) before finishing the body.
