Once I made the decision to bring in Madelinetosh, every part of the process was joyful. Planning where to put it. (It's on the spinning fixture on the east wall.) Calculating how many colors and which base to include in this first order. (20, in Tosh DK.) Picking the colors. (My job is HARD.) The fast and friendly updates as my order moved through the production process. Absolutely stalking the package as it moved from Ft. Worth to Ellensburg. 👀👀👀 Opening the box and breathing in that vinegar-y smell of freshly dyed yarn, and swooning at the order packing checklist enclosed. Working out the arrangement of the colors for display. Writing this blog post--a little breathlessly, I'll admit.

We ran out of room last week, and didn't highlight the Apple Fiber Studio Pretty Pretty Yarn Club hue of the month, the gentle and versatile tonal light grey of Roccabella. The last of the "summer blockbuster" colors, the color was inspired by the light exterior and marble floors of the French villa inherited by the Crawley family in Downton Abbey: A New Era. Use it on its own for a gorgeous neutral piece, or use it to contrast with nearly any other hue!
Are you a fan of Stephen West? How about Mystery Knitalongs? Excitement is building for this year's Westknits MKAL, Twists & Turns. Stephen is a pro at making this fun--this is the thirteenth annual MKAL!
Using the color themes suggested in the pattern, we put together some kits here. Planning to use skeins from stash, but need to add to your combination? Browse all fingering weight yarn here.
The Ramona Pullover in Fashion Modern Tweed Aran flew off my US 9 needles! The Fashion Modern Tweed Aran is a wool/rayon/nylon blend, and it's so soft and snuggly. Looking out the window on a warm(ish) but rainy day, it will be a go-to sweater in no time!
