January 9-11 Yarn Folk will be closed from January 9-11. Online orders placed after 3pm on January 7 will be sent out on January 11.

We received a box of stripey joy from Julia of Knitterly Things last week--what doesn't Vesper Sock make happier? Each skein features ~5-7 colors, and the stripes are approximately 1/2". (It's also the perfect gift for a sock knitting pal. Pair it with an extra set of sock needles if you know their preferred sock knitting method, since there's no such thing as too many sock needles.) (That's a rule. I made it up.)

We also brought in some sweet wool felt applique kits from Corrine Lapierre for when you want a bit of fiber-y hand sewing. They also make sweet presents--the designs are charming.

...to stitch

The Pressed Flowers Cardigan has a right front! Well, most of one. There was more, until I realized I'd done too many decreases! 🤦

I also picked up and finished Oh, Gnome, You Didn't, which was a 2019 Mystery Gnome Along. (He's pictured above.) For reference, what I found in the project bag was the hat, with 1 "spike" finished, one almost done, and the last ready to start. It was fun to spend a couple of evenings on fiddly knitting, and add a new festive friend to the holidays. (I also learned that I apparently bought a copy of Here We Gnome Again at some point--hmmmmm.....)
