This is the final week to score some amazing bargains--yarns that were previously 25% off are now 50% off, and those that were 50% off are now 75% off.
A few have asked why these yarns are leaving. These are nice, natural fibers. The simple answer is that I want the space they have occupied for new, fresh choices! It's hard to say goodbye to some old friends, but exciting to pursue new discoveries. It's easier if I can send them off to good new homes 😉
If you've been in since our summer clearance sale began, you'll have noticed the empty spaces in the main area of the shop. You have no idea how hard it's been to resist the urge to spread things out and fill them in while the sale has been in progress! I've resisted, knowing that the next month will bring a lot of visits from USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
All sales on clearance items are final, and winding services are not available. (You can find tips for winding yarn by hand here.)
Current open hours are Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm, and Saturdays, 9am-3pm.
In-store shopping: masks are recommended for all, and are REQUIRED for all unvaccinated guests over age 2. Thanks for your help in keeping my business open to the public!

52 Weeks of Socks from Laine magazine was published in hardcover in February 2020. The hardcover price was $56--and with 52 patterns within, that's pretty great value.
Fast forward to last week when the softcover version released. It’s an amazing value at only $19.99. I had preordered a dozen copies, and some of those have already sold. I just checked the stock at the book distributor, and while there are copies on order, there are none in stock in any of their warehouses.

The Lopi Book 40 trunk show has departed for its next host, but I am still taking pre-orders for the book (and have a sample copy in the shop). I snapped a few detail photos of the sweaters, and the Lopi Design site does offer individual patterns in English--it's a great resource for Icelandic designs, and contains patterns that aren't available for digital download elsewhere.

Temperance Shawl
With new colors of Malabrigo Sock slated to arrive this week, I've finally picked the Temperance Shawl back up to finish the store sample! The three colors I used were briefly available during the KAL, but we've been waiting for them to be restocked (along with the dozen or so other new colors in Sock, which I'll be adding as soon as UPS delivers them). I just finished section 9 out of 11, but section 11 is the largest, so I have plenty of good knitting with this favorite yarn yet to enjoy!
