It's finally almost time! Kim Russo of Kim Dyes Yarn and I started planning this trunk show back in MARCH! Here we are, and there are seven boxes of yarn and samples on their way to Ellensburg, Kim is on her way to Seattle, and I will arrive back in Kittitas County on Friday!Â
We will be featuring Stroopwafel DK,  a 55/45% superwash Blue Faced Leicester/Silk DK weight yarn with 231 yards per skein. If you remember our custom color, Ellensburg Blue, from our 11th Anniversary event, it was dyed on Stroopwafel DK (and Kim has dyed up a new batch, in case you missed it the first time). Additionally, we'll have two stunning fingering weight yarns--Sourdough Sock, a super soft and shiny 2-ply yarn of 80% superwash Merino wool and 20% nylon, and Flan Fingering, a luxurious and beautiful single ply fingering weight yarn that takes dye like a watercolor. Kim says that if you think you don't like a single ply yarn, you haven't met the right single ply!
We hope that you'll make time in your Saturday schedule to come meet Kim and see her beautiful dye work in person. Come with a project in mind, or find some pretty new friends for your stash 🌟

Color blocking has been on my mind lately, and when I got the Tin Can Knits introducing this fun design, I was enchanted. The Besties Hoodie is available both directly from Tin Can Knits and on Ravelry, and you can choose a sweatshirt or hoodie style, in 27 different sizes, using yarn that knits anywhere from fingering to aran weight gauge. So many options--but if you choose to knit the project in the Tin Can Knits app, they will isolate your size and gauge information for you!Â
Not ready to commit to a garment, but still want to get in on the Besties Fun? There's also the Besties Hat (on Tin Can Knits and Ravelry) for smaller-scale mix and match opportunities.

Have Musselburgh, will travel. (Planning on improvising some texture on the second half of this one...)
