(I bought an e-spinner and with some very competent adult supervision started learning to make what is presently very wonky yarn.)

We got a shipment from Greenwod Fiberworks--

Lots of colors, several different fiber blends, even a little sparkle! We've also got bags of fiber "bits" (less than 10g or 11-20g) in the shop for felters--but we don't list them online. Find the full-size braids here.

I told you we'd look at patterns for newly-arrivedΒ Caprino, so here we go!
To no one's surprise, the top pattern recommendation for this 80% Merino wool / 20% cashmere blend is the Sophie Scarf. Makes sense, right? You can make one with a single skein, and it's decadently soft.Β
A couple of hats require two skeins--Musselburgh, because you're making a double layer, and the Old Port Hat because it's two color brioche.

Tori Yu's Cityscape Mitts (below) need just one skein, while the Timber mitts from Tin Can Knits have a fold down top for extra warmth and more cables, and some sizes need twoΒ skeins.

(Another Tin Can Knits Option is the Beloved bonnet, recently updated to offer three yarn weight options, and an additional preemie size.)

Prospect Pullover: in Ultra Wool. Both sleeves complete, working on the body. I can do 3 to 3.5 rounds per leg of my commute, but I'm driving myself this week, so that collapses to zero :)

Ginny Cardigan:Β Lanas Light held with Aerial mohair for the DK gauge. I'm around halfway through sleeve #1. This project has a fair number of details to attend to once the primary knitting is done--the button band and pockets, plus the cuffs are in brioche. It's enjoyable--just not terribly fast-paced.

I'm "eligible" (per my self-imposed rules of project management) to start an accessory project, but I've shown incredible restraint in "encouraging" myself to finish swatching a bunch of spring yarn candidates first!
