Monday-Friday this week 7am - 3:30pm
Saturday, 12/19 9am - 3pm
Sunday, 12/20 12pm - 4pm
Monday-Thursday next week 7 am - 3:30pm
And then we'll see you again on 12/28! We'll be closed on New Year's Day, but open 9-3 on Saturday, 1/2/2021.
You can also shop online 24/7, and orders that arrive by 3 pm are shipped same day. We are seeing some slow downs with USPS due to holiday volume--this is true every year, but additionally impacted by changes in consumer shopping habits related to covid-19. We're all in need of patience and grace at this point!
Current open hours are Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm, and Saturdays, 9am-3pm. In-store shopping: mask covering nose and mouth required for the duration of your visit. We continue to be mindful about making it possible to maintain social distancing in the shop.

Last week, we got a big restocking order of Berroco UltraWool and Lanas, two fantastic worsted weight wool basics. UltraWool is machine washable; Lanas is hand washable. Later this week, we'll see a similar shipment arrive from Plymouth with Encore Mega. And there's an order from Malabrigo somewhere in the shipping process.
I've added in-stock interchangeable needle sets to the online store (perfect for a special gift), as well as new issues of Nomadic Knits (Washington is here!) and Modern Daily Knitting.

Irish Hiking Scarf
While I haven't fully blocked the completed scarf, it looks pretty good with just a few blasts of steam! Knit with three full skeins of Berroco Mercado on US 10 needles, the finished length is 84", and the unblocked width is a little over 6". As you can see, the length is enough to wrap twice, with plenty left to tuck beneath a coat. The cable repeat is extremely easy to memorize, and placing a locking marker in the cable row each time (moving it up as the project grew) eliminated any guessing about whether or not it was time to cable.
Sharon's Glamping Blanket
This is about to be mailed off as a gift, but I am reasonably sure the recipients won't discover it here. 😎 This is the sofa size of Sharon's Glamping Blanket, knit with four colors of Berroco Vintage. I used a skein less of color A (Dewberry) than the pattern specified, and had yarn left over from the other colors (Cerulean, Blue Moon, and Smoke). Finished size is about 48" wide x 56" long, and it stood up to gentle machine washing and a tumble dry on low just beautifully. I hope that the family this is for enjoys lots of good snuggling under it!
