If you've participated in LYS Day in years past, you'll know that I usually put together a "menu" of special offers and kits. It's not quite complete yet, but we're looking forward to sharing pattern offers and supporting kits from:
Bring your current project, and spend some time with others who really vibe on yarn!
Always a good time, Spring Girls Night Out will be Thursday, April 25th, 5-9pm. We're planning some new merchandise, a one-day mini clearance sale on select items, and I hear there will be shopping bingo! The big prize baskets with goodies from all participating merchants will be back, of course!
Saturday, April 27th. Free patterns, exclusive merch, and more! This is one of our favorite events of the year! You'll want a new project for 👇🏻right??
Back again for our third year! Get your tracker here. All finishers get a coupon for a purchase in June or July, and will be entered in a end-of-challenge prize drawing.
Book signing and brioche class with Anita Osterhaug, author of Nordic Hands, and editor emerita of Handwoven magazine.
Thursday, April 25 8:30a - 9p (Girls Night Out)
Tuesday, April 30 7a - 1p
Wednesday, May 1 - Thursday May 2 9a - 3:30p
We just received a shipment of fiber from Greenwood Fiberworks, and you can find it here. There are a range of options, from luxury blends to undyed fiber. In the shop (but not online), we also have "bits and bobs" that can be spun OR used in needlefelting projects.
Don't miss Spring Girls' Night Out this year--we are going to be debuting a fresh restock of craft kits (embroidery and hand sewing) and we'll have a one-day mini-clearance on some selected items. We've also contributed two gift cards to the event-wide raffle baskets. Enjoy a fun night out with friends, and stop in to see us!
Please note that on Thursday, Yarn Folk will be open from 8:30a until 9p.
I've continued to add stitches to the Musselburgh Hat in our custom color, Eleven, from Urth Yarns. Here, you can see how it compares to my last Musselburgh (which I believe was one size larger. I will continue until I have three colored striping sections remaining, and then begin the decreases. One of the benefits of using a self-striping yarn is having those visual cues!
I'm also working on a sample for LYS Day, so you'll be able to see that completed this weekend!
