…new in the shop

We received three more of our additions for Fall 2023 last week--Carousel from Berroco, and Bo Peep and Signature 4Ply from West Yorkshire Spinners.

Carousel is a wool and acrylic blend that feels great while you're knitting or crocheting (I tested both) and makes a comfortable fabric, too. Berroco is providing a sample of the Tyanna cowl, a really appealing one-skein slipped stitch cowl, and we're waiting anxiously for it to arrive! Speaking of one skein, the yardage is amazing at 418 yards. You can take a look at the full design collection for Carousel on Ravelry here. If you're subscribed to Berroco's Knit Bits, the next issue will highlight this new yarn!

West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep brings the company's pride in British heritage wool to bear on an easy care sport weight yarn in an array of gentle colors. We have five self-patterning shades, and five more coordinating solids. The fiber blend of this yarn is 52% Falkland wool and 48% nylon, and the recommended care is machine wash gentle, lay flat to dry. Arthur is a pullover for all babies with buttons at the shoulder for easier dressing. It can be knit in a single color (either solid or self-patterning, or with stripes (solids, or solid stripes on a self-patterned body).

Last but not least, we've got 3 of 4 of the new "flock" of country birds in Signature 4Ply self-patterning sock yarn (with the 4th, plus the 2023 holiday color expected on Thursday). Signature 4Ply is a 75% superwash wool / 25% nylon blend sock yarn with a secret ingredient--35% of the total is Blue-faced Leicester wool, known for its combination of softness with strength. Sock knitters LOVE this yarn, and the self-patterning colors keep your interest piqued through the knitting.

It's a work in progress (because we're still adding stuff all the time, but you can check out everything that we've added for Fall 2023 here.

Progress on new samples was slowed a little when I dropped everything to crochet a Cowboy Gnome, but what are ya gonna do in the face of a pattern that cute and RELEVANT?
Still, there was some progress on Sonatine, and I wound yarn for the next thing in the queue!
