Yarn Folk will be participating in the Ellensburg Downtown Association's Holiday Girls Night Out this Thursday, from 5-8pm, and this year we are doing something new, namely offering some selected retired shop samples for sale.
Items offered will mainly be hats and cowls, and only designated items are for sale. Fifty percent of proceeds will be donated to the Kittitas Valley Ministerial Association specifically to support the the Ellensburg Cold Weather Shelter program.
One of the festive features of Girls Night Out is your chance to win one of two gift baskets, with prizes contributed by all participating businesses!
Current open hours are Monday - Thursday, 7am-3:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 5pm and Saturdays, 9am-4pm.
In-store shopping: masks are REQUIRED for all guests over age 2. Thanks for your help in keeping my business open to the public!

Berroco Ultra Wool Baby Collection -- November 12 - December 31
It's time for a fresh shipment of Apple Fiber Studio's Pretty Pretty Yarn Club--for December, we have Winter Bouquet, which not coincidentally pairs beautifully with November's Winterberry (if you didn't grab a skein when we introduced it, we still have a few left)!
Also new in the shop: restocked Plymouth Encore, Encore Colorspun, Encore Mega, and Encore Mega Colorspun, new and restocked tags, stickers, pins, and markers from ADKnits, and lots of new colors of Purlstrings.
I finished the French Press Cardi in Rios--and wore it! The S/M took less than 4 skeins of Rios, and the 2XL/3XL calls for 5. The open front and elbow length sleeves make it easy to layer.
I also worked on the yoke of Isabel Kraemer's Purl Code in Berroco Topaz--until I got to the end of my skein! (I definitely considered driving to work to retrieve more yarn, but talked myself out of the idea.) The purl stitches are inserted according to the knitter's preference--I have mostly worked them when the bulkier sections of the yarn naturally occurred. In about 12 rounds, I'll be ready to divide the body from the sleeves.
