I didn't take nearly enough photographs that weren't just reminders to look something up later, or to nudge me to re-visit an exhibitor's booth. Fortunately some of my very generous shop owner friends *did* and were kind enough to share. My time at the h+h Americas wholesale show was busy, and flew by, but I'm back with several totes of pricelists, product info, and yarns to swatch up and evaluate.
Even though I felt very scattered and unprepared, I left the show with lots of inspiration, and I think that you'll love lots of the new things we're planning for fall a LOT.
Bring your current project, and spend some time with others who really vibe on yarn!

Book signing and brioche class with Anita Osterhaug, author of Nordic Hands, and editor emerita of Handwoven magazine.
Here are a few things that are new in the shop:
Fresh stock of stickers from Apartment 2 Cards. We've carried this brand before, but it's been a minute, and many of these are new designs. They are very charming.
Some new woven labels from Sarah Hearts. Made By Me, Thanks I Made It, and This Took Forever can either be inserted into a sewn seam, or the raw edges can be folded in and they can be stitched down in knit or crochet garments. Handmade and the personalizable Handmade With Love By _______ already have tucked in ends, and can be tacked down on knitting or crochet. (As can the other designs we have in stock.) Even though this was a small purchase of small things, they took up the very last of the usable space in my carry-ons! 😱
Washi tape and stickers from Kitty with a Cupcake, along with enamel progress keepers.
Designer Xandy Peters, creator of the stacked stitches technique used in the Fox Paws wrap was at h+h, and his inventive technique has been expanded to crochet. The Stacktangle Blanket was on display, and the pattern is sized for baby blankets up to a king size bed. Very intriguing! (PS, the pattern comes with a coloring page.)
...currently stitching
The shop sample of the Local Yarn Cowl combines the semi-solid Symfonie Terra in Pink Mauve with the lighter pink and orange variegated Tutti Fruity in Apple Fiber Studio's Gala. We have the combo (and others!) available in an easy-to-purchase kit here. The pattern repeat is easy to memorize,
and you can carry the yarn not in use up the inside, so that there are only a few ends to weave in. It's a really nice size, and if you swap color A and color B, you'd have enough to make two from two skeins of yarn!
I also finished the Musselburgh Hat in Yarn Folk custom color Eleven. I could probably have knit a few rows more, but I didn't have a kitchen scale on hand to weigh my yarn usage. This was the Adult Medium, and there is enough height to fold up the brim a bit (even though these pix were taken in the slouchier position).
