Okay, there's not really any actual tasting of yarn involved (although there will be snacks). But we do have space remaining for our Fall yarn tasting from Berroco. The cost is ten dollars, and that includes six mini skeins to swatch during (and after) the event, a code for 1/2 off any Berroco pattern, a chance to win a project quantity door prize from Berroco, the 2025 Fall & Winter Berroco catalog*, and refreshments.

*This is a great item to have on hand for color reference, especially if there is something you are interested in ordering through the Berroco 1-2-3 Drop Ship program.

Vellina is one of the yarns you'll "meet" in the Fall Berroco Yarn Tasting (register here)--and it's one we already have in the shop. It's a natural fiber blend of superwash wool, hemp, and cotton, and it's a worsted weight with 240 yards per skein. The dense, balanced variegation is lively, and lends itself to classic designs: Victoria, the classic V-neck pullover above, is a perfect example. We have all eight colors; find your favorite here.

Exhibitor entries opened last Friday! You can enter online here, and remember that there is no penalty (or cost) for entering in categories that you don't ultimately submit work for. If you think you might, go ahead and enter. Remember, knitting/crochet/weaving = Needlework; spinning and knit/crochet/weaving with your handspun = Fiber Arts; fleece from sheep you raised = wool show.

New this year is free entry to the Fairgrounds all day on Monday!

Oban...finished this week????? There are a lot of cables in this sweater, y'all! But I am up to the armholes of the back, and then it is just around 66 more rows to finish this off! If I can keep to my 12-18 rows per day schedule, I should be able to block the back on Saturday, and seam it up on Monday. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
