It's a busy week!
On Wednesday, we'll be open from 7am - 8pm. The Ellensburg Night Market will be happening on Pine Street from 4 - 8pm. And since we'll be open, we are hosting a bonus Social Stitching time from 6 - 8pm!
Then on Saturday, the Have a Ball Fall Crawl will kick off at 9am PDT with a chat with Melanie Berg, with shop presentations beginning after that. Yarn Folk will be presenting on Sunday morning at 9:45am (again, PDT). There's plenty of time to register for the crawl, and all of us participating are looking forward to sharing our shops, some fun projects, and prizes with you on Zoom! The cost to register is $10, and you can tune into the presentations live or watch the replays! Yarn crawl in your PJs? Yes, please!
Register here!
Bring your current project, and spend some time with others who really vibe on yarn! (Our next bonus evening will be in conjunction with the last summer night market, from 6-8 on Wednesday, September 18th.)

Woolcycle is a soft, superwash, and upcycled sport weight wool yarn from Madelinetosh, and we have it for you in a joyful range of saturated near-neons! Maybe not HI VIS neon, but definitely attention-getting and FUN. This yarn is such a delight to work with (we're using the sample skein we originally got to evaluate this yarn base as the main background color of the still-in-progress #musseldoodle hat). Here's what Madelinetosh has to say about this versatile yarn:
Woolcycle is Madelinetosh's first foray into a 100% upcycled product. Spun in Peru from remnant top, Woolcycle brings a soft, washable yarn to our line in a weight perfect for baby and children's garments, shawls, socks, & lighter sweaters. Woolcycle Sport delivers strong stitch definition, bright colorwork, and pleasurable stitching.
This color selection is great for anyone who needs a mood boost, but we were definitely thinking of the potential for baby and kid-wear. Take a look at Fraser from Dani Sunshine, Molène+ by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne, or a fun, brightly colored Magnolia Little. The crocheted Bubbly Baby Cardigan from Knitting with Chopsticks is another great option. Sport weight yarn is also fantastic for extra cushy socks--and an unexpected pop of color beneath the hem of your pants is a secret you can share or keep for your own enjoyment. Try Dana Rae Makes' Hearth Socks, which offers three sizes and two yarn weight options.
Most of the low key secret squirrel projects for the Have a Ball Fall Crawl are complete. Will you be joining us at 9:45am on Sunday, 9/22? (If not, you'll see them here next week!
