This year is the 4th Annual 4 Day Knitalong, and to celebrate, Olive Knits designer Marie Greene is giving us four times the number of days to complete our sweaters! (Number of days varies by size.)
You can check out the Soundtrack pattern here, read more about the 4 Day KAL here, find the Olive Knits Student Lounge private Facebook group here, and view the kits I’ve put together at Yarn Folk here. And if you prefer something less fuzzy, let me help you put together a combination from one of the other options in the shop.Current open hours are Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm, and Saturdays, 9am-1pm. In-store shopping: mask required, two customers at a time, avoid any wait by scheduling at yarnfolk.com/scheduling. And we’re always open at yarnfolk.com/shop!

Nearly finished child’s sweater with grey body and purple/blue/pink/yellow/turquoise/green striped arms. © & knit by Knitterly Things
FedEx is not making this easy, but self-striping Vesper Sock from Knitterly Things is always worth the wait! So cheerful, if you’re needing just a little uplift. Socks, of course, or SOCK ARMS!! (Little Sock Arms and Sock Arms, and take a look at projects specifically using Vesper Sock here.)
(I’m promised that it really will get delivered today. It was ON the truck yesterday, and then REMOVED.)
Dark purple and lavender brioche shawl © and knit by PDX Knitterati/Michele Bernstein
There are still some compelling yarn combinations available for Breathe & Hope and/or Hug Shot, and I’m still spotting great combos and adding them to the kit listing. But some shop owner friends and I started pondering: what are some other patterns that will work with these pairs? The project started in a Facebook group, but you know me—if there’s a list, it might as well be a Ravelry bundle! Above is Michele Bernstein’s Syncopation, the Ravelry Two Skein/Two Color bundle is here, and the available kits are here.
(An update on the launch of Ravelry’s new look is here, and includes information on preferences you can adjust.)
Tundra
With only one inch left to knit before attaching the sleeves to the body and beginning the colorwork yoke, but most exciting part of this project is tantalizingly close. Yarn is Lettlopi and pattern is Tundra. Lopi is distributed by Berroco, and as of this writing, is still available through the drop ship program, where you contact me with what you’d like to order, and Berroco sends it directly to your home. I chose Tundra because it has an inclusive size range, but the Weatherman sweater was a drop ship project of the week a few weeks back, and is still available.

Breathe & Hope
I finally finished it!! Using Candy Skein Luscious Fingering in Black Licorice and Leading Men Fiber Arts Show Stealer in Trap Door, my Breathe & Hope is a high-contrast graphic piece that I expect to wear a LOT.
