Introducing: a theme for March 🍀

Whether the weather embodies the spirit of spring or not, by the time March rolls in, my brain is ready to shift gears. In the spirit of celebrating emerging flowers (the hardiest ones, at any rate), and rainbows following blustery storms, I thought I'd propose a theme for the month: colorwork.

Interpret that as you will. Stranded colorwork or tapestry crochet? Sure! Stripes? Bring them on. Granny squares? Perfect. Mosaic designs? Absolutely. Intarsia. Color blocking. Pick a new project, or give some love to a WIP!

…new in the shop

How about some fresh spring colors?

Aerial, in some neutral tones and spring brights--

Symfonie Terra, a colorful restock--

If you have any mending projects in your workbasket, we just stocked some Clover Darning Yarn, which combines three related colors on a card.

How about all those knitting Olympians?????

(I love that one of cross country skier Ben Ogden's reasons for knitting a sweater was to have a piece of clothing without branding. Wait until he finds out that stitchers will definitely notice and want to know what that pattern is...😝)

Prospect Pullover: in Ultra Wool. If you look real close, this is about 4" longer than it was last week, and that's without any commute knitting time!

Some yarn babies. Both are a little over 30g, the brown is an alpaca and wool blend, the natural white is 100% bluefaced leicester. I'm kind of intrigued to see how mistakes in the spinning show up in the eventual yarn.

And this is a pile of swatches. Occasionally I take a leap of faith when ordering new yarns, but most often, I try to test them out first when I can! Some of these you'll be seeing on our shelves in the next couple of months!
