Indie Gift-A-Long begins 11/21/2024!
In the eleven years we've been open, we've had *very* few unscheduled closures. That said, our hours are sometimes affected, and here's how we try to keep you posted:
- We update our hours in Google. Sometimes they don't approve the update as fast as we'd like, but we do make every effort to post any changes there.
- We make social media posts on Facebook and Instagram, and share those posts to our stories. If you happen to see a post, please like or share it--it really helps to get the word out when there is more interaction.
- If we have access to the shop phone, we update the outgoing message.
- Please remember that we travel from Upper County, and sometimes conditions there are very different.
- If the CWU campus is closed prior to ~6am, we will also be closed for the day.

There's a terrific new yarn base from Dream in Color, Smooshy Yak. There are 400 yards per skein, and the blend is 80% superwash Merino wool, 10% yak, and 10% nylon. It's next-to skin soft, with excellent stitch definition.
We also got a shipment from Twice Sheared Sheep, including the very popular Work Until Measuring Tapes, the new Snap ID Cord Organizers, a gauge made specifically for crochet hooks, and the slap bracelet Sock Rulers!

The Indie Design Gift-A-Long is hosted in the Indie Gift-A-Long Ravelry Group, and is an almost 6 week long KAL/CAL of holiday gifts made from patterns designed by an extensive list of independent designers. You do need a Ravelry account to join the group, and access the informational posts. From November 21, 2024 at 5:00 pm US Eastern time zone to December 31, 2024 at midnight US Eastern time zone there will be fun games, contests, and 8 KAL/CALs that will help you get your holiday knitting and crocheting done with companionship and fun! PS, many of the designers do pattern promotions for this event and/or introduce new, giftable patterns, so even if you're not up for the full Gift-A-Long experience, you may want to check out the list of participating designers, which will be in the explanatory post. Here is the size 2-4 Besties Hoodie, in Berroco Vintage DK, finished, save for the i-cord drawstring for the hood. We used five skeins of Vintage DK (2 for the body, one each for the pocket, sleeves, and hood), and there is plenty left over for some coordinating Besties Hats.
