Have you registered for the Have a Ball Fall Crawl?
September 16, 2025
The Have a Ball Fall Crawl begins this Sunday; will you be tuning in?
Yarn Folk has participated since 2021, and it's a highlight of our September every year! This year the Six-Ply team will be chatting with the inspiring crochet designer, Toni Lipsey. Crochet has seen such a big wave of interest in the last few years, and Toni has been one of the people leading the way, with beginner-friendly patterns, tutorials, and a contagious enthusiasm for the craft.
The crawl is virtual, so you can tune in from the comfort of home (or anywhere with a decent internet connection). 18 yarn shops spanning North America come together virtually and present themselves to you via Zoom! There are 4 days of presentations, and each shop has a designated time slot.
Register HERE The crawl begins this Saturday, and Yarn Folk will be presenting on the final day, September 28th.
You can find the schedule for all four days on this PDF.

…new in the shop
We are very impatiently waiting for yarns that have been ordered since the spring, and are due to ship ANY MINUTE. It's wonderful to have a plan, but trying to finesse the timelines is exhausting!
We also have a batch of new stickers from our friend Jeananne at Positively Yarnie (formerly Cerulean Orchid). Her designs are so playful and charming, and very, very YARN CENTRIC. I like to squirrel away a few so that I have options whenever it's time to start a new bullet journal. Stickers are here.
…to inspire
Do you have a Fall "to stitch" list? Mine always get shuffled around a little, but here are a few of the many designs that I have my eyes on:
The Braidy Loop Sweater, by Other Loops. I love this casual vibe--like the fanciest, coziest sweatshirt you ever popped over your head. Fingering + laceweight mohair.
The Step Function Shawl by Leela Frankcombe. Illusion knitting + brioche? Yes, please. Two colors of fingering weight yarn.
Kulla sweater for littles. Two (or more) colors of DK. Vintage DK would be easy care!
Topo Shawl by Ambah O'Brien. I've got four colors of Rios pulled for this!
Hey. I'm not asking the warehouse if the Novita x Laine to make this has arrived at the warehouse EVERY day. I could be, if there was the tiniest break in my self control. This is Mosspath, by Jonna Helin, and it's exactly the kind of basic cardi I love.
Let's look at some crochet designs next week, before this gets completely out of hand!!
