What can we say about Symfonie Hand-Dyed Yarns Luna? It GLOWS. (It is 75% Merino wool, and 25% silk.) It's SOFT. The sixteen colors are VIBRANT. And at $24/skein, it's a terrific value for a luxury natural fiber blend!
Sonatine is a two color cowl, knit flat and joined with a short seam from designer Dee O'Keefe, and with this shop sample on the needles, I can confidently say you'll love knitting with this yarn! It's a DK weight, and each skein is 200 yards, with a suggested gauge of 20-24 stitches / 4".
Did you happen to catch Joji Locatelli's Ready for Fall 2 collection when she introduced it last week? Instant Crush (pictured above) is a colorwork pullover, worked with laceweight mohair held double throughout for a thick and warm, but incredibly lightweight fabric. (Not a fan of mohair? Substitute a DK yarn that knits to gauge.) I couldn't resist putting together some kits.
The Cloud Peak Cardigan combines easy-to-wear stockinette with elegant cable details, and a clever pocket construction. The yarn it calls for is a fuzzy chain style yarn, and I think that Berroco's Mochi (which we can order through the Berroco drop ship program for delivery to your door) might be a great substitute.
The One Weekend Socks are knit with a DK yarn and two strands of mohair, and while this puts them in the hand-wash only category, they make up for it by being quick to knit and super cozy! DK options are here, and all mohair is here.
Joji is also hosting a Fall KAL, and you can sign up here. The KAL is hosted in Joji's Ravelry Group. And until August 30th, all of her individual, self-published patterns are 25% on Ravelry or at Jojiknits.com off with the coupon code JOJIFALLKAL2023.
