I'm not one of those people who is going to whip out a vaguely-threatening graphic with a holiday countdown that sends you into a panic...but if fiber-y gift-giving is in your plans, now might be a good time to get started 😇
Another possibility is to combine a fiber-focus with the gift of your time, and this year we have some kits assembled to help you teach a newbie. See the details below.
A reminder--if you're feeling poorly, please join us again as soon as you're feeling better!
We have TWO craft alongs happening this month--
1) It's Socktober! Start and maybe finish a pair of socks or slippers!
2) Keep it spooky!
See below for pattern inspo. Use yarn from Yarn Folk, and return this scoresheet by 10/31 and you'll be entered into a drawing for $25 in store credit!
Stop by to see the garment trunk show for Berroco's A Flight of Cables & Hops (on Ravelry and at Berroco) collection, a collaboration between designers Bristol Ivy and Thea Colman. The pieces in this collection feature Ultra Alpaca Chunky, Ultra Alpaca Worsted, and Ultra Alpaca Light. You'll find Ultra Alpaca Chunky Natural in stock at Yarn Folk, and if one of the pieces in one of the other weights of Ultra Alpaca strikes your fancy, we're always happy to set up a drop ship order.
We'll talk more about the yarn I used soon, but this finished hat is worth a look based on the pattern alone! It is fittingly named the Charm of the Woodland Hats, and in addition to the mushroom chart I knit from, there are also owl and deer motifs, and if you're inclined to make a set, there are separate patterns for matching mittens. If you wanted to start a hat right away, Lanas Light would be a great option for this pattern!
