Did you catch our partial Malabrigo unboxing video last week? It was one of those "little bit of everything" boxes--which came about mainly because I spotted some natural Rasta in the available inventory (which never happens). There were also quite a few colors of Ultimate Sock (Sock, but with nylon) we haven't had on the shelves before, and some white (not just natural) Rios.

We've also got the December Apple Fiber Studio Pretty Pretty Yarn Club colorway, Chuckanut Mountain, pictured here with its seasonal friends, October's Fiery Sunset and November's Autumn Trail.

Also shown are some holiday Stitch Stoppers, which I don't think I've highlighted before, and a new sticker with a sweet story from Honeyberry Studios. We previously had a version of this design which read, "It's okay if all you did today was breathe." One afternoon, some friends were shopping, and one of them said, "Oh, I wish it said 'It's okay if all you did today was knit.'!" I reached out to Yuko, the illustrator, and asked if she might do another version to fulfill that wish--and about six weeks later, here it is!

And because TIS the season, we have the December Stitch Markers of the Month from Katrinkles (featuring CABLES!), some limited edition Christmas Cat stitch markers, and fresh stock of Sock Rulers.yarnfolk dividing line (2).png

I wish I could say this was the first time I'd dropped everything to make a new pair of warm mittens because my hands were freezing, but it's not. This might be the best pair yet, though! I used Lanas Quick on US 8 needles and made the Broken Rib Knit Mittens in the women's size. As the leftover yarn indicates, one skein was enough, but just barely! I did inadvertently add an extra round of increases to the thumb gusset (basically, I knit the women's sizing with the men's thumb) so that would increase the yarn buffer by a bit. Even given the nail-biting, I'd make these again in a heartbeat--they are thick, waffle-y, cozy, and worked up in a couple of days. 10/10 would recommend!
