The Semi-Annual Clearance Sale is over, and we moved out almost everything--big thanks to everyone who took home new yarn friends. It was just in the nick of time--if you saw this Instagram or Facebook post on Saturday morning, you saw a bit of the chaos, and that was after a lot of the yarn had been put away! (I did get things sorted before social stitching....)
Above is just a peek at the some of the changes we're in the middle of, and in addition to the fixture changes, we're in the midst of waves of new stock. See a couple of them featured below; stop in or check the New for Fall 2022 collection online.
Current open hours are Monday - Thursday, 7am-3:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 5pm and Saturdays, 9am-4pm.
In-store shopping: masks are optional (but welcome and appreciated).

Have you heard about Berroco Lanas Light? This is one I've been waiting for with great excitement. It's the same blend of South American wool as worsted weight Lanas, in 28 beautiful colored--most of them subtly heathered. It is a lively 2-ply, and works up beautifully in lace patterns like the Ruth Shawl, but I think it will be our star player for colorwork designs. The pattern book for this yarn features the Plein Air Pullover and the Sketchbook Hat--both of which give you fully designed options or the guidance to design your own colorwork.
We're also loving the new Ultra Alpaca Chunky Natural. This robust blend of 50% superfine alpaca and 50% wool comes in five undyed natural colors, plus a pair of marled shades. We have a few pattern suggestions on the product page, including Perahta, a cardigan with lace details we saw in person in Chicago during our June trip. It's so pretty, and just the perfect, cozy weight.
Talk about a fantastic rabbit hole... Carolyn Bloom of Bloom Handmade Studio has inspired techniques for embroidering on both knit and crochet fabric. Her Instagram reels are mesmerizing to watch, you can find her patterns on Ravelry, and she has a YouTube channel.
Here's Fenna Shawl, which used about 75% of a cake of Whirl. While I needed to move on to other things, the pattern would be easy to extend if you wanted to use the full yardage.
