It's been really real, but now it's really, really real! If you've been contemplating taking one of Thursday's classes with Michele Bernstein, please enroll TODAY.
There is some pre-class homework for both classes, and we also need to make sure we meet our enrollment commitments for the classes. Michele is an experienced, kind, and engaging knitting instructor--you'll have a great time in her classes.
Q: What are the prerequisites for these classes?
A: For Petite Brioche, you should be able to knit/purl, cast on/bind off, and work in the round. For Fixing Knitting Mistakes, you should know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, know basic increases/decreases, have the ability to read and work from a simple chart.
Q: Is Fixing Knitting Mistakes, Lace Edition only useful for lace knitters?
A: No! The class also includes how to get comfortable with tinking (unknitting) regular stitches and increases and decreases that you'll encounter in most knitting projects. You'll also get more comfortable with reading your knitting, which is the skill that everything else builds on.
Q: Is there anything else I should know?
A: Both classes are a chance to build your confidence, and spend time with other people who also find messing around with sticks and string to be *endlessly fascinating*. That doesn't happen every day!
Q: What if I can't decide which class to take?
A: You can enroll in both 🙃😉😇 There's a lunch break between!
Register for Petite Brioche here and for Fixing Knitting Mistakes here.
We're offering two classes with Michele Bernstein, author of Brioche, Knit, Love. We recommend enrolling early--class space is limited, and you'll have a small amount of homework prior to each class.

Vintage! We've decided to add to our range of worsted weight, easy-care yarns. Plymouth Encore is a 75% acrylic / 25% wool blend, Berroco Ultra Wool is 100% superwash wool, and Malabrigo Rios is 100% hand-dyed superwash Merino wool.
Clearance sale is still in progress. Keep an eye on our Instagram this week, where we're highlighting ideas for what you can do with these yarns. We may be saying goodbye, but that doesn't mean we aren't still inspired by them!
You may have heard that the Ellensburg Rodeo and Kittitas County Fair are celebrating a little birthday this year??
It's always fun to enter something in the fair, but how much cooler would it be to part of the 100th anniversary celebrations? Fair entry begins on August 1st (today)--and you can find all of the information here.
There was a fair bit of knitting this week (and a bit of crocheting on the Aixellence Tank Top in Chaski)--and it was almost all stockinette in the round 😵💫The good news is that the Quill Tee is now five rounds from starting the hem ribbing, and there's only a bit of knitting on the sleeves to complete the project. Finished project next week? 🤞🏻
