Moving to the new building meant unearthing absolutely everything that was in storage in the original space. The storeroom there was just about big enough to turn around in--as long as you kept your arms at your side--so things that weren't urgently needed were out of sight and out of mind. Spoiler alert: there were a lot of retired shop samples in the storeroom.

And now we're having a sample sale, in conjunction with this year's Holiday Girls Night Out! Pick up your bingo card from the Ellensburg Downtown Association office at 109 E Third beginning at 5pm and enjoy special offers from downtown businesses and restaurants. Here at Yarn Folk, we'll be open until 9pm, and dozens of retired shop samples have been washed, dried, and will be available for purchase! This is a rare and limited time opportunity, so plan to come see us on Thursday evening. Please feel free to share with your non-stitching friends!

If you missed out on the first drop of Yarn Folk hoodies back in April, here's a second chance to snag one. Choose your color and size here (or forward your info to Santa), and we'll have them ready for pick up or mailing in the middle of the month. These are a little lighter weight than many hoodies, but are still exceptionally soft and cozy. I've had several people tell me that it's the most comfortable hoodie in their wardrobe. I accidentally ended up with four colors, and I'm inclined to agree. Pre-orders close this Friday!
