Oaken is a big triangular shawl from Tin Can Knits, knit in worsted weight wool. We have chosen Hudson & West Forge. The fiber blend is 70% US Merino, and 30% US Corriedale, lending both softness and bounce to the finished shawl. We're offering a special price on the kits--a $9 discount to cover your cost to purchase the pattern.
Knit from the center top down, the squishy garter stitch section is followed by a wide lace panel, and edged with more garter stitch. Pattern schematic for the shawl projects a finished size of 68"w x 28"d; blocked shop sample is 78"w x 31"d.
This is a classic piece you'll reach for again and again--big enough to really wrap up in, cozy, and the lace can be styled for a more delicate look or an architectural effect.
