Sweater Spa Wool Wash

How to Use

For handwashing wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair, silk, linen, and delicates:

1. Fill a basin with cool water.
2. Add 1–2 teaspoons of Sweater Spa Fiber Wash. 
3. Submerge garment and gently press to distribute.
4. Do not rinse — the formula is designed to remain in the fibers.
5. Remove garment, gently squeeze (never wring), and lay flat to dry.

Ingredients and Benefits

• Coco Glucoside: A gentle, plant-derived non-ionic surfactant from coconut oil and glucose. It effectively cleans fibers by reducing surface tension and lifting dirt without stripping natural oils. It also acts as a mild foaming agent and moisturizer, helping to keep fibers soft and hydrated. Coco glucoside is biodegradable, non-irritating, and safe for delicate fibers like wool and silk.

• Vegetable Glycerin: A natural humectant and fabric softener derived from plant oils. It helps retain moisture in fibers, preventing dryness and brittleness. It also acts as a stain-release catalyst and anti-static agent, reducing static cling and protecting color vibrancy. Vegetable glycerin is pH-neutral, biodegradable, and gentle on fibers.

• Optiphen: A broad-spectrum, formaldehyde-free preservative that protects the formula from bacteria, yeast, and mold. It is heat stable, works across a wide pH range, and is gentle on skin and fibers, ensuring product safety and longevity without harsh chemicals.  We use a minimal amount for a 12-month shelf-life.

• Fragrance Oil or Essential Oil: Provides a natural, pleasant scent to the wash. Essential oils like lavender or lemon can also add antibacterial and deodorizing properties, helping to keep fibers fresh and clean without synthetic fragrances that may irritate skin or damage fibers.

• Distilled Water: The solvent base that dissolves and blends all ingredients, ensuring a stable and effective formula.
